  • Recent Happenings in our Sub from DeWitt Township Police
    Posted on: 2010-08-21
We have had several 'Larcenies from Auto's' and a few ' Breaking and Enterings' in DeWitt Township in the last few weeks. Most have been sporadic, but sometimes they seem to concentrate in a whole subdivision. This week-end, (August 14th-16th) Springbrooks Hills & Saffron Hills Subdivisions were hit by unknown theives. They hit parked unlocked cars and stole anything of value. They entered unlocked-open garage doors and entered the vehicles in those garages. On one instance they entered the home through the entry door between the house and the garage, stole some items and cash and quickly left. In another incident the suspect came face-to-face with the homeowner when the homeowner (Who was awake at 3Am) heard a noise in his garage and went out to investigate.

Most of these incidents have happened in the wee hours of the morning @ 2Am-6Am.

HEAR STRANGE NOISES-CALL 911. DOG STARTS BARKING OR GROWLING AT 2AM--CALL 911.

    SUSPECT(S) - Young White Male(s) in their early 20's.

VEHICLE- ? Only one vehicle has been seen in the area--A Black 4 Door Sedan.

Keep an Open Ear and a Watchful Eye...And Lock Things Up.

    Thanks for your assistance,

    Chief Brian Russell
